Peter Scolari Biography
Peter Thomas Scolari (September 12, 1955 – October 22, 2021) was an American actor known for his roles in various television shows. He gained recognition for portraying Henry Desmond in 'Bosom Buddies' (1980–1982), Michael Harris in 'Newhart' (1984–1990), and Wayne Szalinski in 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show' (1997–2000). Scolari received three Emmy nominations for his work in 'Newhart' and won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2016 for his recurring role as Tad Horvath in 'Girls'. Born in New Rochelle, New York, Scolari was raised in Scarsdale. He came from an Italian descent and had a father who played semi-professional baseball before becoming a lawyer. His mother had a background in singing and worked in Alcohol Rehabilitation. Scolari passed away in October 2021.
