Rakim

Rakim, born William Michael Griffin Jr. on January 28, 1968, is an American rapper widely regarded as one of the most influential and skilled rappers of all time. He gained fame as one half of the golden age hip hop duo Eric B. & Rakim. Rakim raised the bar for MC technique by pioneering the use of internal rhymes, multisyllabic rhymes, and intricate lyrics packed with clever word choices and metaphors. He is credited with creating the shift from the more simplistic old school flows to more complex flows. Rakim's contributions to hip hop have made him a transformative figure in the genre.
