Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, born on December 22, 1962, is an English actor, film producer, and director. He gained recognition as a Shakespeare interpreter, delivering exceptional performances at the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Fiennes has been honored with several awards, including a BAFTA Award and a Tony Award, along with nominations for two Academy Awards and an Emmy Award. His breakout role came in the film Wuthering Heights (1992), playing the character Heathcliff. However, it was his portrayal of Nazi war criminal Amon Göth in Schindler's List (1993) that earned him critical acclaim and nominations for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe.
