Rebecca Luker

Rebecca Luker (April 17, 1961 – December 23, 2020) was an American actress, singer, and recording artist known for her crystal clear operatic soprano voice. With a career spanning over three decades, Luker established herself as a prominent figure in Broadway musicals. She made her Broadway debut in the original cast of The Phantom of the Opera, initially as a Christine understudy before taking on the lead role. Luker originated the role of Lily in The Secret Garden on Broadway in 1991. Throughout her career, she received three Tony Award nominations for her performances in Show Boat, The Music Man, and Mary Poppins. Luker also appeared in television and film. She was recognized for her exceptional talent and contributions to the performing arts.
