Regina Lee Hall (born December 12, 1970) is an American actress known for her roles in various movies and television shows. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Brenda Meeks in the Scary Movie film series from 2000 to 2006. Hall has also appeared in popular TV series such as Ally McBeal (2001-2002), Law & Order: LA (2010-2011), Grandfathered (2016), and Black Monday (2019-2021). Her notable film credits include The Best Man (1999), The Best Man Holiday (2013), About Last Night (2014), Vacation (2015), Girls Trip (2017), The Hate U Give (2018), and Little (2019). In 2018, she received critical acclaim for her performance in Support the Girls and became the first African American to win the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actress. Hall, born to a contractor and electrician father and a teacher mother, completed her education at Immaculata High School and Fordham University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in English in 1992.
