Richard Briers Biography
Richard David Briers (14 January 1934 – 17 February 2013) was an English actor known for his work in film, radio, stage, and television. He gained recognition for his role as George Starling in the TV series Marriage Lines (1961–66) and achieved household fame as Tom Good in the BBC sitcom The Good Life (1975–78). Briers also starred as Martin in the TV series Ever Decreasing Circles (1984–89) and played Hector in Monarch of the Glen (2000–05). He collaborated with director Kenneth Branagh in several Shakespearean productions, including Henry V (1989) and Hamlet (1996). Briers was born on 14 January 1934 in Raynes Park, Surrey.
