Ricky Hatton

Richard John Hatton, born on October 6, 1978, is a British former professional boxer, boxing promoter, and trainer. He competed in the sport from 1997 to 2012, holding multiple world championships at light-welterweight and welterweight. Hatton is ranked as the 11th greatest European boxer of all time and the 5th greatest British boxer of all time, pound for pound, by BoxRec. In 2005, he was named Fighter of the Year by The Ring magazine, the Boxing Writers Association of America, and ESPN. Throughout his career, he achieved notable victories, such as defeating Kostya Tszyu for the IBF, Ring, and lineal titles in 2005, as well as claiming the WBA title by defeating Carlos Maussa the same year.
