    Robert Anthony Plant, born on August 20, 1948, is an English singer and songwriter. He gained fame as the lead vocalist and lyricist for the rock band Led Zeppelin from 1968 to 1980. Following the band's breakup, Plant embarked on a successful solo career, often collaborating with artists like Alison Krauss. Known for his dynamic stage presence and captivating performances, Plant is widely regarded as one of the greatest singers in rock music. Before his musical career, Plant briefly trained as a chartered accountant but left to pursue singing with local blues bands. In 1968, he joined The Yardbirds, which later became Led Zeppelin, and the band enjoyed tremendous success throughout the 1970s.
