Robert Siegel Biography
Robert Siegel, born on June 26, 1947, is an American retired radio journalist. He is best known for being one of the co-hosts of the National Public Radio evening news broadcast All Things Considered from 1987 until his retirement in January 2018. Siegel was born in New York City and grew up at Stuyvesant Town—Peter Cooper Village. He studied at Columbia University, graduating from Columbia College in 1968. Siegel's broadcasting career began at WGLI in Babylon, New York, where he worked as a reporter and newscaster. He later joined NPR in 1976 and held various roles before becoming the co-host of All Things Considered. Since his retirement, Siegel has continued to contribute to NPR as a special correspondent.
