Roderick George Toombs, also known as 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper, was a Canadian professional wrestler, amateur wrestler, and actor. He gained international fame for his work with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1984 to 2000. Piper, although Canadian, was billed as being from Glasgow due to his Scottish heritage and was known for his kilt and bagpipe entrance music. He earned the nicknames 'Rowdy' and 'Hot Rod' for his short temper, spontaneity, and quick wit. Piper is considered by many to be the greatest villain wrestler of all time. In addition to his wrestling career, he also appeared in several movies and TV shows.
