RuPaul

RuPaul Andre Charles (born November 17, 1960) is an American drag queen, producer, and TV personality. He is best known for creating, hosting, and judging the reality competition series RuPaul's Drag Race, which has earned him 12 Primetime Emmy Awards. RuPaul has also received several other accolades, including three GLAAD Media Awards, a Critics' Choice Television Award, two Billboard Music Awards, and a Tony Award. Born and raised in San Diego, he studied performing arts in Atlanta before settling in New York City. There, he became a popular figure in the LGBT nightclub scene. RuPaul gained international fame with his debut single, 'Supermodel (You Better Work)', and became the first drag queen to land a major cosmetics campaign as a spokesperson for MAC Cosmetics.
