Ruth Wilson is an English actress born on January 13, 1982. She is well-known for her roles in various movies and TV shows. Some of her notable performances include portraying the protagonist in Jane Eyre (2006), Alice Morgan in the BBC series Luther (2010–2013, 2019), Alison Lockhart in The Affair (2014–2018), and the eponymous character in Mrs Wilson (2018). Since 2019, Wilson has been playing Marisa Coulter in the BBC/HBO series His Dark Materials, which earned her the 2020 BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Actress.
