Sean Nelson (born June 12, 1973) is an American musician, journalist, and actor. He gained recognition as the lead singer of the alternative rock group Harvey Danger. Nelson joined the band in 1993 and played with them until their farewell show in 2009. As the band's lead singer, songwriter, and keyboardist, he contributed to their debut album 'Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone?' which was certified Gold by the RIAA. The album featured the hit single 'Flagpole Sitta', which was prominently featured in the 1999 film 'American Pie' and served as the theme song for the British sitcom 'Peep Show'. In addition to his musical career, Nelson has also acted in various movies and TV shows.
