Selma Blair (born June 23, 1972) is an American actress and author. She is best known for her roles in movies such as Cruel Intentions, Legally Blonde, and the Hellboy franchise. Blair starred in the 2021 documentary, Introducing, Selma Blair, which chronicles her life after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. In addition to her acting career, she is also an author. Her memoir, Mean Baby: A Memoir of Growing Up, was published in 2022. Blair was born in Southfield, Michigan and spent much of her childhood in Philadelphia. She comes from a family of lawyers and changed her surname to 'Blair' along with her sister Elizabeth.
