Seth Woodbury MacFarlane (born October 26, 1973) is an American actor, animator, filmmaker, comedian, and singer. He is best known as the creator and star of the television series Family Guy (since 1999) and The Orville (since 2017). MacFarlane is also the co-creator of the television series American Dad! (since 2005) and The Cleveland Show (2009–2013). In addition, he has written, directed, and starred in films such as Ted (2012), Ted 2 (2015), and A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014). MacFarlane studied animation at the Rhode Island School of Design and began his career as an animator and writer for Hanna-Barbera. He has also made guest appearances as an actor on various television series.
