Shane McRae is an American actor born on July 23, 1977, in Gainesville, Florida. He grew up in Starkville, Mississippi, and later earned his MFA from New York University in 2003. McRae has appeared in various television shows including NBC's Four Kings, Hack, One Life to Live, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Cold Case, Nashville, Chicago Fire, and The Following. He joined the cast of the Amazon Studios series Sneaky Pete in 2017, playing the role of Taylor, and also portrayed Dickie Barrett in the Spectrum Original series Paradise Lost. McRae has also showcased his talent on stage, playing notable roles such as Jason Chenier in Take Me Out and Richard's nemesis, Richmond, in The Public Theatre's Richard III.
