Dame Sheila Cameron Hancock (born February 22, 1933) is an English actress, singer, and author. She has had a successful career in both theatre and film. In the theater, Hancock has performed in plays and musicals in London, including a Tony Award-nominated performance in 'Entertaining Mr Sloane' on Broadway. She has also won a Laurence Olivier Award for her role in 'Cabaret' and received nominations for her work in 'Annie,' 'Sweeney Todd,' 'The Winter's Tale,' 'Prin,' and 'Sister Act.' In film and television, Hancock has appeared in movies such as 'Carry On Cleo,' 'The Wildcats of St Trinian's,' 'Buster,' 'Three Men and a Little Lady,' 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas,' and 'Edie.' Sheila Hancock was born in Blackgang, Isle of Wight to Enrico Cameron Hancock and Ivy Louise (née Woodward).
