    Shoichi Funaki Biography
    Shoichi Funaki, also known as Sho Funaki, is a Japanese professional wrestling manager, color commentator, and former professional wrestler. Born on August 24, 1968, Funaki has had an impressive career in the world of wrestling. He began his journey in Yoshiaki Fujiwara's Pro Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi and later moved to Battlarts. Funaki then transitioned to the lucha libre style and joined Michinoku Pro Wrestling, where he became part of the Kai En Tai stable alongside Taka Michinoku, Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, and Shiryu. He also competed in the Universal Wrestling Association (UWA) and won the UWA World Middleweight Championship in 1997. In 1998, Funaki joined the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) along with Teioh and Togo, where they feuded with Taka Michinoku.
