Simone Lahbib, born Simone Nicole Jean Lahbib Ould Cheikl on February 6, 1965, is a Scottish actress known for her roles in various TV shows. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Helen Stewart in the ITV drama series Bad Girls, DCI Alex Fielding in the ITV crime series Wire in the Blood, and Katy Lewis in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. Born in Stirling, Lahbib is the daughter of a Scottish poet and artist mother and a French-Algerian chef father. She studied Drama at Edinburgh's Queen Margaret University and began her on-screen career in 1985. Lahbib has appeared in numerous television dramas and films, starting with The Girl in the Picture in 1985. Her talent and versatility have made her a respected figure in the industry.
