Steve Austin, born Steven James Anderson on December 18, 1964, is an American media personality, actor, and retired professional wrestler. He gained widespread recognition as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, a legendary figure in the world of professional wrestling. Austin played college football at the University of North Texas before starting his wrestling career in 1989. He rose to prominence during the Attitude Era, a period of great success for the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE). A skilled in-ring technician, Austin won several championships in WCW before joining WWF. Known for his rebellious and anti-establishment persona, Austin became one of the most influential and beloved wrestlers of all time.
