    Steve Blanchard is an American stage actor and singer, born on December 4, 1958, known for his impressive musical theatre career. He gained prominence for his portrayal of The Beast in the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast, a role he played for eight years. Blanchard has also showcased his talent in regional theatre productions, notably as 'Pa' in the musical adaptation of Little House on the Prairie. In addition to his stage work, he has made appearances in various television roles. Blanchard has embraced his musical abilities further by releasing a solo CD called Northbound Train, featuring songs from the shows he has participated in. He received his education at the University of Maryland and is an alumnus of the Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts.
