Stuart Hughes Biography
Stuart Hughes (born June 9, 1959) is a Canadian actor known for his leading roles on the stages of many Canadian theatre companies, including Shaw Festival, Stratford Festival, and Soulpepper Theatre Company. He attended Saunders Secondary School in London, Ontario, where he played French horn and violin in the school orchestra and band, and performed in school drama productions. Hughes has received multiple award nominations for his work in film, television, and on stage, including three Dora Awards and an ACTRA Award. He appeared as Commandant James Gibson in an episode of Mayday in 2012 and portrayed Oscar 'Butch' Bowers in the 2017 film adaptation of It.
