Stuart McQuarrie Biography
Stuart McQuarrie (born 19 March 1963) is a Scottish actor known for his performances in acclaimed films such as Trainspotting and 28 Days Later. He has also made numerous appearances in both film and television throughout his career. McQuarrie received his training at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) in Glasgow and quickly gained popularity among Edinburgh theater audiences. He later moved to London where he took on prominent roles in new, controversial dramas by playwrights like Sarah Kane and Anthony Neilson. In 2006, McQuarrie returned to Edinburgh and received critical acclaim for his performance in the National Theatre of Scotland production of Realism, earning him the Glasgow Herald Angel award and a nomination for Best Male Actor by CATS (Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland).
