Susan Casey

Susan Casey (born 1962) is a Canadian-born writer and editor. She has held prominent roles as the lead editor of Sports Illustrated Women and O, The Oprah Magazine. Casey is known for her contributions to non-fiction literature, particularly her book The Devil's Teeth, which explores the topic of sharks in the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary in California. Born in Toronto, Casey began her career as the creative director of Outside magazine before joining Sports Illustrated for Women as managing editor in 2001. She has been recognized for her work, including a nomination for a National Magazine award. Casey's passion for sharks led her to publish The Devil's Teeth in 2005, documenting her firsthand experiences with great white sharks from the Farallon Islands.
