Tanaya Beatty

Tanaya Beatty (born February 12, 1991) is a Canadian actress known for her roles in various movies and television shows. She gained recognition for portraying Rachel Black in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and for her starring roles in True Justice, Arctic Air, and the upcoming HBO miniseries Lewis and Clark. In 2016, she joined the cast of NBC's The Night Shift as Dr. Shannon Rivera. Beatty also had lead roles in the film adaptation of Joseph Boyden's novel Through Black Spruce and in Yellowstone. Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Beatty comes from a diverse background of Awaetlatla First Nations and Himalayan heritage. She graduated from the Vancouver Film School in December 2010.
