Tara Anne Cassandra Fitzgerald (born September 18, 1967) is an English actress known for her work in feature films, television, radio, and stage. She garnered critical acclaim and won the New York Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play in 1995 for her portrayal of Ophelia in Hamlet. Fitzgerald also received the Best Actress Award at The Reims International Television Festival in 1999 for her role as Lady Dona St Columb in Frenchman's Creek. Notable stage appearances include The Misanthrope at the Comedy Theatre and A Doll's House at the Donmar Warehouse. Fitzgerald has appeared in over 30 episodes of the BBC series Waking the Dead and portrayed Selyse Baratheon in the HBO series Game of Thrones.
