Taylor Sheridan (born Sheridan Taylor Gibler Jr., July 17, 1969) is an American filmmaker and actor. He is best known for his roles as David Hale in the FX television series Sons of Anarchy and Danny Boyd in Veronica Mars (2005–2007). Sheridan has gained recognition as a screenwriter, having written the screenplay for acclaimed films such as Sicario (2015) and Hell or High Water (2016), for which he received nominations for the Writers Guild of America Award and the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay respectively. He has also ventured into directing, with his notable works including the neo-Western crime film Wind River (2017). Sheridan is the co-creator of the popular Paramount Network series Yellowstone and its prequels 1883 (2021) and 1923 (2022), as well as the crime thriller Mayor of Kingstown.
