Ted Sarandos

Ted Sarandos is an American businessman and the co-chief executive officer of Netflix, Inc. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and is the fourth of five children. Sarandos' paternal grandfather emigrated from the Greek island of Samos to the United States, changing the family name to Sarandos. As a child, Sarandos developed a passion for TV shows like I Love Lucy and The Andy Griffith Show. He honed his knowledge of film and TV while working at a video store and developed strong instincts for what people enjoyed. Sarandos has played a significant role in the success of Netflix, helping to transform it into a leading global streaming service.
