Terry Dee Funk (June 30, 1944 – August 23, 2023) was an American professional wrestler known for his influential hardcore wrestling style. With a career spanning over 50 years, Funk is considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He wrestled for major promotions including All Japan Pro Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling, Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, and World Championship Wrestling, among others. Funk also served as the promoter of the Amarillo-based Western States Sports promotion. Throughout his career, he held championships such as the ECW World Heavyweight Championship and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
