Theo Rossi, born John Theodore Rossi on June 4, 1975, is an American actor and producer. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Juan Carlos 'Juice' Ortiz on the FX series Sons of Anarchy (2008–2014) and Hernan 'Shades' Alvarez in Luke Cage (2016–2018). Rossi's film credits include Red Sands (2009), Bad Hurt (2015), Lowriders (2017), Vault (2019), and Emily the Criminal (2022), which earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Originally from Staten Island, New York City, Rossi is of Italian, Spanish, Lebanese, Syrian, and North African descent. He studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and started his own production company, Dos Dudes Pictures, in 2014.
