Todd Terry

Todd Norton Terry, born April 18, 1967, is an American DJ, record producer, and remixer known for his contributions to the genre of house music. He played a significant role in defining the New York house scene in the 1990s with his productions that blended classic disco, the Chicago house sound, and elements of hip-hop. Terry's innovative approach to music helped move house music beyond its early Chicago roots and into the mainstream, reaching commercial success. He began his career as a DJ in the 1980s, initially playing Italo disco and hip-hop before focusing on house music. Todd Terry is also known for his work as Masters at Work, releasing the popular 12-inch single 'Alright Alright' in 1987.
