    Tom Laughlin Biography
    Tom Laughlin (August 10, 1931 – December 12, 2013) was an American actor, director, screenwriter, author, educator, and activist. He is best known for his series of Billy Jack films. Laughlin married actress Delores Taylor in 1954, who co-produced and acted in the Billy Jack films with him. In addition to his film career, Laughlin started a Montessori preschool in Santa Monica, California, which became the largest school of its kind in the United States. He was also involved in psychology and domestic violence counseling, writing books on Jungian psychology and developing theories on the causes of cancer. Laughlin ran for the office of President of the United States in 1992, 2004, and 2008.
