    Tony Chimel is an American former professional wrestling ring announcer, best known for his time with WWE. Prior to his career as a ring announcer, Chimel worked as a ring technician for WWE alongside Joey Marella. He began his announcing duties in 1989, primarily working on televised B-Shows and non-televised house shows. Chimel served as the SmackDown! ring announcer from 1999 until 2007, also announcing at SmackDown brand pay-per-views during this time. In 1999, he defeated Howard Finkel in a tuxedo match to earn the rights to be the SmackDown! announcer. Chimel had a brief feud with Mr. Kennedy from 2005 to 2007. Overall, he has made significant contributions to the world of professional wrestling.
