Tony Norris
Cuthbert Antony Norris (9 January 1917 - 25 February 2005) was an English ornithologist known for his contributions to the field of bird study. He served as a member of the RSPB's council in the 1950s and 1960s, where he chaired the finance and general purposes committee. Norris played a crucial role in relocating the RSPB headquarters from London to The Lodge in Sandy, Bedfordshire. Additionally, he held positions of responsibility within various bird clubs, including serving as the secretary, chairman, and later president of the West Midland Bird Club. Norris was also the instigator of the Bardsey Bird and Field Observatory. He made notable contributions to the field of ornithology through his research, talks, and publications.
