Tony Sirico Biography
Gennaro Anthony Sirico Jr. (July 29, 1942 – July 8, 2022) was an American actor known for his portrayal of Peter Paul 'Paulie Walnuts' Gualtieri in The Sopranos. Born in Brooklyn, New York City, to an Italian descent family, Sirico grew up in the East Flatbush and Bensonhurst neighborhoods. He attended Midwood High School but did not graduate. Before pursuing acting, Sirico had a troubled past, having been involved in criminal activities and serving time in prison. He was arrested multiple times, including for disorderly conduct, assault, and robbery. Despite his troubled past, Sirico found success in the entertainment industry, making appearances in films by Woody Allen in addition to his iconic role in The Sopranos.
