Tovah Feldshuh is an American actress, singer, and playwright. Born on December 27, 1948, she has had a successful career spanning fifty years in Broadway. Feldshuh has garnered four Tony Award nominations for her exceptional performances. Additionally, she has received two Emmy Award nominations for her roles in the television miniseries Holocaust and the popular show Law & Order. Feldshuh has also appeared in notable films such as A Walk on the Moon, She's Funny That Way, and Kissing Jessica Stein. In 2015–2016, she portrayed the character of Deanna Monroe in AMC's television adaptation of The Walking Dead. Raised in Scarsdale, New York, she is of Jewish heritage and comes from a family with artistic inclinations. Her brother, David Feldshuh, is a renowned playwright.
