Trevor Laird
Trevor Laird (born July 11, 1957) is a British actor known for his roles in film and television. He was born in Islington, London and trained at the Anna Scher Theatre. Laird's early career includes notable roles such as a TV adaptation of Peter Prince's novel Playthings in 1976, and appearances in various plays like Victims of Apartheid, Waterloo Sunset, and The Vanishing Army. In 1978, he co-founded the Black Theatre Co-operative (now NitroBeat) and performed in its inaugural play Welcome Home Jacko. Laird gained recognition for his breakthrough roles in the 1979 film Quadrophenia as Ferdy, and in Franco Rosso's 1980 cult classic Babylon as Beefy. He has also appeared in The Long Good Friday and Burning an Illusion, among other films. Laird made a television appearance in the 1986 Doctor Who serial Mindwarp as the guard.
