Trey Parker Biography
Trey Parker, born Randolph Severn Parker III on October 19, 1969, is an American actor, animator, filmmaker, and composer. He gained fame as the co-creator of the long-running animated series South Park, which premiered in 1997. Parker also co-created the Tony Award-winning musical The Book of Mormon in 2011, showcasing his talents as a composer. He developed a passion for film and music at a young age and met his creative partner, Matt Stone, while attending the University of Colorado Boulder. Together, they worked on various short films and Parker's feature-length musical, Cannibal! The Musical. Parker's second film, Orgazmo, was released in 1997. His contributions to South Park have earned critical acclaim, and he has maintained creative control over the show, producing music and video games based on it. Parker has also written, produced, directed, and starred in the satirical action film Team America: World Police, among other projects.
