Val Kilmer

Val Edward Kilmer (born December 31, 1959) is an American actor known for his diverse roles in film. Starting as a stage actor, Kilmer gained recognition for his appearances in comedy films like Top Secret! (1984) and Real Genius (1985). He found further success in action films such as Top Gun (1986) and fantasy film Willow (1988). Kilmer received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Jim Morrison in The Doors (1991). He has starred in notable films like Tombstone (1993), True Romance (1993), Heat (1995), Batman Forever (1995), and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005). In 2022, Kilmer reprised his role as Iceman in Top Gun: Maverick. Since 2015, he has privately battled with throat cancer, undergoing procedures that affected his vocal cords.
