Wanda Sykes

Wanda Yvette Sykes is an American stand-up comedian, actress, and writer. Born on March 7, 1964, she gained recognition as a writer on The Chris Rock Show, winning a Primetime Emmy Award in 1999. Entertainment Weekly named her one of the 25 funniest people in America in 2004. Sykes is known for her recurring roles on CBS' The New Adventures of Old Christine and HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. She has received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her guest roles in ABC's Black-ish and Amazon's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Sykes currently stars in the Netflix series The Upshaws, HBO Max's The Other Two, and The Good Fight. She has also appeared in films such as Monster-in-Law, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Evan Almighty, and License to Wed.
