Wayne Gretzky

Wayne Douglas Gretzky (born January 26, 1961) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and former head coach. He played 20 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for four teams from 1979 to 1999. Nicknamed 'the Great One', he is widely considered the greatest ice hockey player of all time. Gretzky holds several NHL records, including the most goals, assists, and points in league history. He is the only player to have scored over 200 points in a single season and achieved this four times. Gretzky also tallied over 100 points in 15 professional seasons. Born and raised in Brantford, Ontario, he remains a prominent figure in the hockey world.
