Wendy Joan Williams (born July 18, 1964) is an American former broadcaster, media personality, and writer. She gained fame as a radio DJ and host before hosting the nationally syndicated television talk show, The Wendy Williams Show, from 2008 to 2022. Williams is known for her on-air spats with celebrities and was the subject of the 2006 VH1 reality television series, The Wendy Williams Experience. In addition to her television career, Williams has authored several books, appeared in various films and television shows, and has her own product lines, including a fashion line, jewelry collection, and wig line. She was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2009.
