Will Forte Biography
Will Forte, born Orville Willis Forte IV on June 17, 1970, is an American actor and comedian. He gained recognition as a cast member on Saturday Night Live (SNL) for eight seasons between 2002 and 2010. During his time on SNL, Forte portrayed a recurring character that later led to the film adaptation 'MacGruber' in 2010, and a streaming television series of the same name, in which he has starred since 2021. He also created and starred in the sitcom 'The Last Man on Earth' from 2015 to 2018. Forte received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his work on 'The Last Man on Earth.' Prior to his comedy career, Forte obtained a history degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and briefly worked as a financial broker. He then pursued comedy, attending classes at The Groundlings and later becoming a writer and producer for shows like '3rd Rock from the Sun' and 'That '70s Show' before joining SNL. Forte has appeared in various comedy films and also starred in the drama film 'Nebraska.'
