Willie Nelson

Willie Hugh Nelson (born April 29, 1933) is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, activist, and actor. He was a key figure in the progressive and outlaw country subgenres that emerged in the late 1960s. Nelson gained recognition with albums like Shotgun Willie (1973), Red Headed Stranger (1975), and Stardust (1978), solidifying his place as a prominent country artist. Apart from music, Nelson has appeared in over 30 films and co-authored multiple books. He has also been involved in activism, advocating for biofuels and the legalization of marijuana. Nelson showcased his musical talents from an early age, writing his first song at seven and performing in bands during high school and his time in the U.S. Air Force.
