Independence Day: Resurgence

Independence Day: Resurgence is a 2016 American science fiction disaster film directed by Roland Emmerich. It serves as a sequel to the 1996 film Independence Day and features an ensemble cast including Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Maika Monroe, and more. Taking place twenty years after the events of the first film, the story follows the Earth Space Defense, a united international military defense and research organization. Through reverse engineering, they have incorporated alien technology into their defense program to prepare for a second invasion.
