Shallow Hal is a 2001 American romantic comedy film directed by the Farrelly brothers, starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Jack Black. It follows the story of a man who, after being hypnotized by a life coach, sees only inner beauty and falls in love with a 300-pound woman.
