Volver

Volver is a 2006 Spanish comedy-drama film written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar. The movie revolves around an eccentric family of women from a wind-swept region south of Madrid. It stars Penélope Cruz, Carmen Maura, Lola Dueñas, Blanca Portillo, Yohana Cobo, and Chus Lampreave. The plot follows Raimunda, a working-class woman who takes drastic measures to protect her daughter from a dark secret, while dealing with the unexpected return of her supposedly deceased mother.
