Allegiance follows rookie police constable Sabrina Sohal in Surrey, British Columbia, as she investigates allegations against her father, Cabinet minister Ajeet Sohal, accused of treason. The series portrays her navigation of professional duties, family loyalty and legal procedures while addressing racism, class, privilege and complexities of the Canadian justice system.
