Annie Jacobson and her twin brother, raised in New York by their single father, inherit an isolated lake island from their estranged grandfather. Relocating to the island, Annie encounters new acquaintances, romantic possibilities and long-buried family secrets while adapting to life in a small, tightly knit community in rural Canada.
