Allen Leech Biography
Allen Leech (born 18 May 1981) is an Irish actor known for his roles in both film and television. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Tom Branson in the popular ITV period drama series Downton Abbey, which aired from 2010 to 2015. Leech also made a notable appearance as Paul Prenter in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (2018). He began his acting career in 1998 with a role in the production of A Streetcar Named Desire. Leech has since appeared in various films, including Cowboys & Angels (2003) and Man About Dog (2004), for which he received an Irish Film & Television Award nomination. On television, he played the character Marcus Agrippa on the HBO series Rome (2007). Leech was born in Killiney, County Dublin, and attended St Michael's College. His interest in acting began at a young age when he played the Cowardly Lion in a school production of The Wizard of Oz.
